Dallas Halavaka Congratulations to Dallas Halavaka (10MBW) who, in term one, filmed a series, called 'Duckrockers' which will be released very soon. From the South Pacific Pictures Website: "From the makers of the smash hit film Sione’s Wedding comes a coming-of-age story to rock out to! Duckrockers follows seven young Pacific Islanders living in inner-city Auckland during the mid-1980’s. This comedy teen prequel to Sione’s Wedding sees the break-dancing boppers enjoy a last summer of fun before they become ‘real, actual men’ over eight half hour episodes. But growing up is hard to do and there are valuable lessons to learn, dance competitions to win and dreams to chase. After all… boys just want to have fun! So join the baddest bopping crew in Auckland for an irreverent yet respectful, funny and heart-warming dive back into our collective urban past. Two of New Zealand’s most experienced creators, James Griffin and Oscar Kightley, weave the stories of these Pasifika families and communities together with the beats and fashion of the eighties. Duckrockers 4 life!" | |

Jett Stephens, Carson Farley and Jack Tuthill- competed in the final Short Course round of the Giant 2W Gravity Enduro. The weather was terrible, it was raining with thunder and lightening and fog up in the hills. The tracks were slippery, with mud bogs and quagmires. There was very little traction to be had, but the boys did amazing. Unfortunately due to adverse weather and the fact that the trails where getting hammered, they cancelled the Long Course on Sunday, which meant that Adam McPhail couldn't complete
