Last week, our Big Band, Origin, competed at the KBB Music Festival. The Big Band has been competing at this event for several years now, and each year it has been growing in numbers and performing more difficult repertoire.

This year, they performed ‘Give You Blue’ by Allan Stone, featuring Selesitina Alapati on vocals, with Cameron Lile conducting, and ‘What About Me’ by Snarky Puppy, a particularly challenging piece featuring Madelyn Taylor, Sophie Pope and Alexander Motufoua.

We were very proud to announce that the Big Band received a Silver Award this year — the best result we have earned! Well done to all the musicians and to Mr Motufoua for directing the band.
