If you're 17 years or older, now is the time to make sure you're enrolled to vote.

You can enrol as soon as you turn 17, and being enrolled means you'll be ready to have your say in New Zealand's General Election.

What you need to know:

• You can enrol to vote from age 17.
• To vote in the 2026 General Election on Saturday 7 November, you must be enrolled by Sunday 25 October.
• If you're already enrolled, take a moment to check that your details are up to date.

Important for Māori voters: If you're eligible to enrol on the Māori roll, you can change between the General Roll and the Māori Roll until Thursday 6 August.
