Important Parking and Road Safety Reminder
Help Us Keep Our Students Safe at Drop-Off and Pick-Up
A reminder to all parents/caregivers and students: it is illegal to park in a way that blocks access to or from a driveway. It is also illegal to park over and block footpaths.
Parking over footpaths puts both Massey High School students and our neighbouring primary school students at risk. When footpaths are blocked, students are forced onto the road to move around parked vehicles, creating a serious safety hazard.
Please be aware that parking in these areas can result in a fine, and in some cases, vehicles may also be towed.
We also wish to remind everyone that the Massey High School entrance is NOT a turning bay. Stopping or turning in this area jeopardises the safety of students and other motorists, particularly during busy morning and afternoon periods. The yellow lines to the left of the entrance are a turning lane into the school and are not a parking bay.
Please be reminded that private vehicles are not allowed through the school gates between 2.30pm–3.30pm, in order to prioritise safe access for our school buses and student safety while entering and vacating the school grounds.
Please also note that there is to be no parking in the bus bays from 2.00pm to 3.30pm, to ensure there is adequate space for school buses to arrive and depart safely.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep our students and wider community safe.
