My name is Leonidas. I'm Samoan, with Niuean heritage. I am also one of eight children and in the Massey CrossFit team.

My life is very straightforward, and I have the same routine each week, but I am very invested in my fitness—just anything that gets me moving, whether it's the gym, basketball, volleyball, or just some social touch, because it does help me connect with my community. In my spare time, I enjoy watching TV shows and meal planning.

This year, I'm looking forward to the many events that I will be working on with my fellow prefect team and the new experiences that I'll have. I've recently joined the Building Academy, so it's a totally different environment for me, but I'm really looking forward to my electrical apprenticeship coming up.

Next year, I'm hoping that I'll have my full-time electrical apprenticeship and still be working towards making the CrossFit Games.

I am so honoured to have received the privilege of representing Massey High School this year as one of your Head Prefects.

My favourite thing to do is meet and connect with people—if you see me, come say hi.

I am obsessed with anything that gets me outdoors and moving: swimming, surfing, hiking, photography, rock climbing, and slacklining, to name my favs!

This year, I am looking forward to involving myself even more in our school community, meeting new people, embracing my role of leadership, and inspiring all the incredible students here.

Next year, I hope to attend university and study Marine Biology or Neuroscience. At the same time, I want to travel and expose myself to all the beautiful life and rich culture that we have around us.

​I have a passion for aviation and absolutely adore flying and going plane spotting. In my spare time you can find me out in nature, likely with a camera in my hand. 

This year I look forward to collaborating with the rest of the prefect team and focusing on my academics. 

After graduating, I plan on attending flight school in Nelson to pursue a career as a commercial pilot. 

I enjoy learning about and watching birds, as well as reading and drawing. 

I am looking forward to making the most of the year ahead of me and making connections that will help me in my future career, I hope to study ornithology at university and work in conservation. 

I love the sciences and maths at school but I am also passionate about the arts, being a part of the school productions has been my absolute favourite part about high school. When I'm not in school, I spend my time playing the piano, reading, or baking. 

This year I'm looking forward to enjoying my last year and making the most of my position as one of your academic prefects. 

The things I like to do in my spare time are read, ride horses, and crochet. I am looking forward to working with this year's prefect team and enjoying my last year of high school.  My plans next year are to go to Canterbury University and study forestry engineering.

Hi, my name is Mazie, and I am one of your 2026 Arts prefects! I love to dance and perform as well as swim and surf.

This year I am looking forwards to enjoying my last year at Massey and sharing any knowledge that I have before heading off into the world. I am currently unsure of what I will be doing next year.

I've been playing saxophone for 7 years and have performed as a part in many of our school groups. I've been a part of our school's Bi-lingual unit, 'Te Whare Āhuru' for around 3 years now. I like to keep myself busy with hanging out with my mates, messing around with my instruments, and every once and a while reading.

This year I'm looking forward to learning and performing more music individually and with the groups I'm with. Some of these performances are the KBB Music Festival which I'm going with as a part of our school's Big Band, and the School Jazz Band Competition with our Jazz Combo. I'm also aiming to encourage more students to go try the arts, in whatever realm they please. But mainly I'm excited to enjoy my last year at Massey. Though I'm not entirely sure, next year I'm aiming to be studying at Victoria Wellington. I want to do a major in the realm of music, but I'm still figuring out the details. If I end up deciding music is no longer the path for me, I want to study and become a private midwife.

I like to watch sunsets, spend time with friends, love to laugh at random things, and enjoy setting goals for myself throughout the year.

I am really looking forward to working with my community prefect buddy as well as everyone else in the prefect team, while facing difficulties and solving those struggles together.

My plan for next year is to get into university and hopefully get into law school and continue striving for those goals that I’m aiming to reach.

Talofa Lava, my name is Zephaniah Auva'a. I am of Samoan decent from the villages of Falealupo and Tufulele. I take interest in playing sports like rugby and volleyball, and music as I play both Piano and Guitar.

I am looking forward to working with my prefect team to make 2026 a year no one can forget. I am currently looking at studying a conjoint bachelor's degree in criminal law and business.

I am from Afghanistan and this year is my 3rd year living in New Zealand. I have traveled to five countries and New Zealand is my favourite country among them. I like to play football, and I have been part of Massey High School football team since year 10.

I am looking forward to making new international friends and working with our prefect team.

I am planning to get into Auckland Medical School next year, and I want to become a doctor in the future.

I like reading, hiking and swimming. I also enjoy cooking. I am looking forward to meeting new people, making friends and to participate in the scholarship exams. I want to study engineering.

I love to visit beaches around New Zealand and seeing new places. The outdoors is where I spend my time whether it’s out doing sports at the beach or finding the most random new hobby I can find. I am looking forward to the ball and the holidays not that I don't love school!

I am planning to go down to the university of Otago for a Business degree in Marketing and HR.

My favourite thing to do is sports and it’s even better when you are doing them with friends. One of my favourite sports is mountain biking but I also like CrossFit, Weightlifting and Touch. I am looking forward to working with Jaime and organising swimming sports and tabloids.

I am probably going to go to the Air Force or become a mechanic.

Talofa lava, my name is Aviu Falani and I am one of your Hiranga house leaders for 2026. I am a proud Samoan and my culture is a big part of who I am. I enjoy staying active and playing sports for fun such as volleyball and rugby touch. In my free time, I like to relax, sleep, and spend time with family and friends, as they keep me grounded and motivated to do my best.

This year, I am really looking forward to seeing how much I grow as a leader. I want to challenge myself, step outside of my comfort zone, and learn how to lead with confidence while still staying true to who I am. I am also looking forward to seeing my house celebrate as we win the house cup for 2026! After school I plan to take some time to train myself before enlisting into the NZ army.

Kia ora, I'm Keenan Te Tai your Hiranga House Prefect for 2026. I am Māori and take pride with culture. Definitely a cat person with common laziness! In my spare time I enjoy everything music, KPOP, binge-watching anime, baking & eating. This year I’m looking forward to Talent Quest, Korean Night and music performances, excited to have fun and chill. In future I plan to attend UOA doing medicine, to continue with my scientific and creative passions.

My name is Ahnaf ul Hossain. I am one of the House leaders of Kārearea. I am from Bangladesh. I have been living in NZ for almost 3 years now. My interests are mostly cars and other mechanical stuff. My hobbies are mainly doing stuff that is creative, as well as mountain biking.

I look forward to winning the House competitions this year! I am also working hard out to gain my rank scores for Mechanical Engineering in UOA.

Next year I am planning to attend University of Auckland to study Engineering. My dream goal is to become an Aeronautical Engineer.

​In my free time I like to go bouldering, disc golfing, and I'm always up for an adventure. I also love to sit down with a good book or puzzle.

This year I am excited to create deeper connections within my house and take part in some competitive (yet friendly) house competition.

Next year at University I plan to study Engineering, hopefully moving on to Mechanical Engineering in year 2.

Bula vinaka, my name is Juliett Mataraki and I am your Turama house leader for 2026. I am a proud Fijian. Things I love doing are dancing, playing sports and singing. I've represented Massey high school in netball and rugby since year 9. These hobbies enable me to express myself and connect with people.

My name is Jasmine and I am Tongan, European. My interests consist of travelling, family time and staying healthy.
